Day 1 Instructions - CRAFTmas Advent Countdown

Welcome to your Christmas Crafting Advent Calendar!

Each day reveals a small step as you build your cozy snowy cottage scene. Enjoy this creative journey one day at a time — savoring the magic, slowing down, and adding joy and handmade charm to your holiday season.

Steps for Day 1 (see diagram in the pictures):

1. Begin building the base of your winter cottage scene.
   
   
2. Paint the inside edges and outside of your box in your chosen color — Forest Green gives a rich winter feel.
   
   
3. Leave one inside edge unpainted for now.
   
   
4. Paint the bottom of the box and the unpainted inside edge in white, like fresh snow.
   
   
5. Paint the lid edges and top of the lid in your chosen color, like Forest Green.
   
   
6. Paint the underside of the lid white. Don’t worry if the white isn’t perfectly covered — it will be covered as the magic unfolds.
