My daughter Hayden loves the sound of birds, and she always likes to point them out to me when we are outside. I find the music of the birds to be peaceful and relaxing. We will watch them land on the birdhouses, and just admire the little creatures.
Who says you have to be outside to enjoy the birds and the cute birdhouses? Watch Kayla as she creates a rustic birdhouse for indoor decoration, with an adorable little red cardinal.
Supplies Needed to Make This Rustic Birdhouse (suggested locations for supplies):
- Jumbo craft sticks (Dollar Tree)
- Hot glue gun
- Wooden house sign (Dollar Tree)
- Black chalk paint
- Metal ribbon (Hobby Lobby)
- Paint brush
- Scrap paper
- Scissors
- Marker
- Burnt Umber, Bright Red, and Grey Acrylic Paint by Apple Barrel
- Nails
- Hammer
- Multi-surface Apple Barrel Milk Chocolate Acrylic Paint
- Foam brush
- Sandpaper or nail file
